John R. Chamberlain, M.D.

John Chamberlain received his M.D. from the University of California San Diego and then completed three years of training in general surgery at the University of Michigan Medical Center. After this training, he came to the University of California, San Francisco where he completed a psychiatry residency and a forensic psychiatric fellowship.

He has interests in the interface of medical and psychiatric illness, decision-making capacity, end of life care, industrial health, cultural psychiatry, and violence risk assessment.

Dr. Chamberlain is currently a member of the faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at UCSF. He is available as a QME, AME or IME psychiatric examiner at the Center for Occupational Psychiatry, Inc.
