OMRI BERGER, M.D.

Dr. Berger received an undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology and Neuroscience from the University of California Los Angeles. He received his medical degree from the University of California San Francisco, and then completed his psychiatry residency at the Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute of the University of California San Francisco.

Dr. Berger is currently a clinical fellow in the Psychiatry and the Law Program at the University of California San Francisco. In this capacity, Dr. Berger performs forensic evaluations in both the civil and criminal arenas. His work includes competency, insanity, fitness-for-duty, liability, and occupational evaluations. Additionally, Dr. Berger is actively practicing clinical psychiatry in inpatient, outpatient and correctional settings.

Dr. Berger has conducted research and published in the areas of brain development, psychoneuroimmunology, schizophrenia and psychotherapy. He has taught and supervised psychiatry residents and medical students in areas that include risk assessment, psychotherapy and psychopharmacology.
